About

Hiking the Landmannalaugar

I (she/her) am NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) Fellow working with Kevin Bowman at JPL. I use satellite observations of greenhouse gases to quantify high-resolution fluxes (emissions + sinks) and the associated errors. While at JPL, I will apply methods I developed during my Ph.D. to carbon dioxide. These methods optimize fluxes given the observations at minimal computational cost while maximizing the satellite's information content. I previously applied these techniques to quantify methane emissions at 25 km × 25 km resolution over North America, providing information on emissions from individual states, cities, and landfills.

In my free time, I enjoy running, hiking and camping, reading, and making bad jokes about greenhouse gases (methane may be the CHHHHillest molecule, but carbon dioxide is pretty COOl.). I grew up in Minnesota and am happiest around small, medium, and large bodies of water.
